Rickshaw Restaurant

I have to say as a VERY surprised (generally) and infrequent customer of Chinese American food...WOW!

I am a 54 year old man and as I indicated, an infrequent patron of this cuisine. I was then, and still think about how perfect this order was. I realized it about the same moment I unpacked the last item from the bags. First, I noted that any items that we're susceptible to "transit Sog" had been carefully and perfectly prepared, and here is a secret every restaurant should share albeit it appears to be a proprietary one held tightly to the proverbial dimsum board! Place a small hole in the container to relieve some trapped steam! There it is...that secret is out...pass it around! (And kindly, no holes large enough to cool said order, please!)

Next I noted that all of my little tubs of sauces had been separated from every entree and conveniently placed together in a single leak-proof container! Yes, my other 4 guests didn't complain that they had to each identify their own sauces, but all mentioned their satisfaction of receiving their crispy food a quick sprinkle for some, a splash for one other. My guest ordering Mandarin Orange Chicken was so appreciative to receive her generous cup+ of delicious sauce that she decided to dip each piece of her tempura coated morsels immediately prior to slowly chewing each bite of an obviously special plate of a rather normally mundane menu choice. But there she was...with almost a smile from each bite followed by an equally delicious sip of wine I had chosen for the evening.

Then it all came together when I opened my (also a good tasting) Chinese cookie..."You will be surprised by your day...tomorrow!" So they got it almost perfect. But I'll still leave them a full five stars, although they started "tomorrow" a wee bit early!

P.S One last observation...the lovely delivery woman (actually a young lady) wore a lovely fragrance upon her arrival? We'll she did!

When I first read the reviews on this restaurant, I thought to myself "You gotta be very desperate for Chinese cuisine today." So I decided what the heck, really don't want to drive all the way to Seattle to the restaurant I used to frequent and knew. OH MY GOD, what a pleasant surprise! Everything ordered was delicious and delivered HOT!!!!, More than I can say for some of the Pizza places I have Ordered from as of late, it seems I'm always having to warm the food before I can eat it when it arrives. And they delivered it on time, actually way before they had said. They truly have a loyal customer. But may I make one little suggestion, the chicken needs to be washed in a cold water salt bath and rinsed, patted dry with a paper towel before cutting into cubes. It'll just make your fried rice be that much more delicious. Cooking since I was 9 , Mother taught me a few tricks. Just rinsing doesn't work. Nevertheless KUDOS!

P.S. Most imp: food is NOT greasy like other Chinese Rests I have ordered from...

My order estimate was 45-55 minutes, but my order was here less than 20 minutes after I ordered. Very impressed with the promptness and quality of this business.

The service was very quick, a half hour before the estimated arrival! The food was hot and good, and the delivery woman was sweet and friendly.
